Wall Street’s most dangerous words - “but this time it’s different” - usually dissipate harmlessly upon utterance, unheeded by skeptical listeners (“crude oil at $200/bbl by the end of 2008,” for example). However, in regard to a record-setting and, thus, disturbing national employment situation that has evolved into the worst job market in many respects since the 1930s, well, this time it is different.
