Oklahoma and Colorado governors team to convert state motor fleets to CNG

Vehicles that run on compressed natural gas will find more of their brethren on Oklahoma roads in the coming years, and more places to fill up. As part of a plan hatched last year, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper committed to converting their respective state motor-vehicle fleets to CNG vehicles, and got 20 other governors on board. Read more

Police department plans new vehicles and headquarters over the next five years

The Oklahoma City Police Department is preparing to receive new vehicles, new equipment and a new home. Next summer, Chief Bill Citty plans to break ground on a new headquarters. Once the headquarters is completed, work will begin on a new courthouse. Other projects on the horizon include buying new helicopters, a new mobile command unit and renovation of a building for a property management unit. Read more
