Wofford has practiced law for 35 years and has been Of Counsel with the Doerner Saunders Oklahoma City office since 2009, focusing on environmental and energy law. He serves on the legislative committees of both the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and the Environmental Federation of Oklahoma, a statewide industry group.

Wofford began his career as Associate General Counsel for Oklahoma Gov. David Boren and served as the Governor’s liaison to the state’s environmental agencies. As an attorney for the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Environmental Services, he managed the enforcement of the Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act and assisted with enforcement of hazardous waste management statutes and other pollution control laws in Oklahoma.
He also served as an administrative law judge on public health disputes and was a trial attorney for litigation defense for the State of Oklahoma in lawsuits related to these programs.
