$1 million renovation project completed at The Fountains at Canterbury

The Fountains at Canterbury of Oklahoma City completed a $1 million construction project in early December 2011.

The Courtyard

The senior living community made innovative and upscale renovations and updates to their skilled nursing care and short term rehabilitation area, The Springs.

“We have made numerous physical changes to The Springs to ensure our patients receive outstanding service, comfort and the ability to utilize state-of-the-art physical and occupational therapy suites to be able to resume their activities of daily life sooner," said Scott Steinmetz, executive director. "We are thrilled the project is complete and have already noticed the benefits to patients and their families."

This $1 million renovation included reconfiguration of space and design to create more than 700 additional square feet for therapy suites, upgrades to patient rooms such as  furniture, fixtures and flooring. Also, space for programs, events and social gatherings has been increased through the project. The Springs received new flooring, paint and wall coverings throughout, new furnishings and accessories as well as additional amenities such as a beverage center, ice cream cart, televisions and state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

"I have enjoyed my stay at the Fountains at Canterbury and the entire staff is kind, attentive and helpful in every way possible, attending to my personal needs with kindness and a smiling face," said Maxine Lewis, resident of The Fountains at Canterbury. "The rehab department does a nice job helping people regain their strength again and the dining room is pleasant, with food served hot and tasting delicious."
