The Oklahoma Quality Foundation’s Sharing of Best Practices Series, which features CEOs and senior leaders from various companies who are recipients of the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, is pleased to announce Ms. Allyson Young as the keynote speaker on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.
Ms. Young is the Human Resources Director for K&N Management; a restaurant management group based out of Austin, Texas, and will speak to the group about “Building a Guest Delight Culture.” K&N’s company culture is based on quality and excellence; strong relationships with its customers (referred to as “guests”); and a vision to become world famous by delighting one guest at a time. A few of the company’s highlights include:
· In sales, K&N’s restaurants significantly outperform local competitors and national chains.
· For both K&N’s restaurant concepts, guests rate their satisfaction with food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, speed of service, and value at least 4.7 on a 5-point scale, outperforming the best competitor.
· Over 95% of K&N’s management team members report they are proud to work for the company. In 2010, the Austin American-Statesman named the firm “the best place to work in Austin.”
Ms. Young’s primary focus areas at K&N include employee relations, branding, graphics, technical writing, publications, process mapping and concept flow-charting, as well as designing and conducting K&N Management’s performance excellence learning sessions.
Ms. Young was the author of both the Texas Award for Performance Excellence application and the Malcolm Baldrige application. She brings over 20 years of restaurant experience, particularly training and human resources to K&N Management.
Ms. Young will speak in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, January 18, at Ben E. Keith Foods (14200 N. Santa Fe, Edmond, 73013). The event will open at 11:15am with lunch at 11:30am, and Ms. Young will speak at noon. Reservations are required and can be made online at oklahomaquality.com/regform/.
