Chamber announces 2012 officers and members of the board of directors



The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber is pleased to announce its officers and members of the Board of Directors for 2012.

Carl Edwards, Price Edwards & Company, will serve his second year as chair. Peter B. Delaney, OGE Energy Corp., has been chosen as chairman-elect and will serve as treasurer. Other 2012 officers include David Thompson, immediate past chairman; Bruce Lawrence, INTEGRIS Health, corporate secretary; and Roy H. Williams, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, president and CEO.

The 2012 appointed vice chairs include: Community Redevelopment – Mark Funke, Bank of Oklahoma; Convention & Visitors Bureau – Rhonda Hooper, Jordan Advertising; Economic Development – David Rainbolt, BancFirst; Education & Workforce Development – Martha Burger, Chesapeake Energy Corporation; Forward Oklahoma City – J. Larry Nichols, Devon Energy Corporation; Government Relations – Brad Krieger, Arvest Bank; MAPS Redevelopment – Tom J. McDaniel, American Fidelity Foundation; Marketing & Communications – Percy Kirk, Cox Communications; Membership – Bryan Gonterman, AT&T Oklahoma; Strategic Planning – Clayton I. Bennett, Dorchester Capital.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is made up of the individuals elected by the Chamber membership, those appointed by the chairman, the officers and all past chairmen and life members.

Chamber membership elected the following individuals to serve three consecutive one-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2012 and expiring Dec. 31, 2014: Beverly Binkowski, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma; Robert Browne, Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Company; James C. Clark, B.C. Clark Jewelers; David Harlow, BancFirst; E. Carey Joullian, IV, Mustang Fuel Corporation; Greg Love, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc.; Mary Mélon, The Journal Record Publishing Company; Xavier Neira, Manhattan Construction Company; Ford C. Price, Jr., Price Edwards & Company; Eduardo Sanchez, Lopez Foods, Inc.; Natalie Shirley, Oklahoma State University -- Oklahoma City; Kari Watkins, Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.

In addition to the previously mentioned elected members, Edwards named the following individuals for one-year appointments to the 2012 Board of Directors: James M. Brown, 7-Eleven Stores; Mike Emmelhainz, The Boeing Company; Clay T. Farha, B.D. Eddie Enterprises; Jalal Farzaneh, Home Creations; J.
