“I knew Mercy's reputation in the community as a well-respected leader in providing top-notch medical care to the citizens of Oklahoma,” said Dr. Davis. “With the vast team of Mercy physicians, the new electronic medical record, and the hospital-wide mission, Mercy is poised to be a continued leader in providing excellent health care to the people of my home state.”

Born and raised in Edmond, Dr. Davis graduated summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s in biology, from his hometown’s University of Central Oklahoma. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, then completed internships in general surgery and urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

Dr. Davis values the trust his patients place in him as they partner in the treatment of sometimes very sensitive health issues.

“There is no other profession that I could envision myself doing,” Dr. Davis said. “It is something that I have wanted to do since I was very young. It is a great mixture of helping people and the science and function of the human body.”

Dr. Davis is the winner of the 2004 American Society of Clinical Pathologists award and has worked at numerous free clinics providing cancer screenings and wellness checks.
