Assistant to the mayor, Brett Hamm, has resigned his position effective Dec. 29 to begin a position as executive vice president and senior partner of Saxum Strategic Communications.
"Having a hand in our greatest achievements of MAPS, MAPS for Kids, Dell Inc., the Skirvin Hotel renovation and the NBA Hornets has been a tremendous opportunity," Hamm said. "Our city has benefited from a continuation of strong leadership of elected officials and City staff which has been key to our success. I've been honored to play a direct role in the renaissance of Oklahoma City and look forward to my continued involvement through this new position.
Hamm joined the City of Oklahoma City as as assistant to former Mayor Kirk Humphreys and stayed on with his successor, Mick Cornett.
"Brett will be tough to replace. He is smart, provides a high level of attention to detail, and has a lot of experience in working for elected officials. We will miss him," said Cornett.
