Vice President, Heritage Trust
"In the investment world of trust companies, we are consistently managing money with very significant goals, the lifetime support of a disabled child, the assets of a charitable foundation, the education of a trustee's children," he explained. "So, for me, business achievement is more of a long road of trying to do the right thing for our clients for the right reasons for the right fee - every day."
Personally, McGuire, 39, finds pride in the time he served as a Big Brother. He says the young man with whom he was "matched" taught him a great deal. But the greatest reward, he said, was to see the youngster grow stronger in his schoolwork and look positively toward college, then walk across the stage this year at his high school graduation with a proud smile across his face.
McGuire also volunteers with Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County, The Downtown Club of Oklahoma City and United Way of Central Oklahoma. He also is a member of Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council.
McGuire received his bachelor's degree in political science with a Japanese concentration from the University of Richmond in Virginia. He received his master's degree in finance from Oklahoma City University, and completed his graduate coursework for certified financial planner designation at American College in Denver.
