Communications Director, Arts Council of Oklahoma City
She has worked in the media realm from as far away as Ramstein Air Base in Germany, but today, Emily Reagan directs communications and marketing of all projects and events produced by the Arts Council. Such events include the Festival of the Arts, Opening Night, Community Arts programming, the Sunday Twilight Concert Series and the Oklahoma City Storytelling Festival.
"My most significant business achievement was promoting the Arts Council of Oklahoma City's 43rd annual Festival of the Arts," Reagan says. "It was a monumental task for a six-day event that brings in 750,000 people and averages $1 million in art sales."
Her personal life as a USAF officer's wife takes her to many cities, typically packing up and moving every year or two. However, in each community, Reagan says she is able to find fulfilling jobs that hone her professional development, while joining meaningful community activities to keep her engaged, rewarded and independent.
"I fell that my most significant community or personal achievement is my ability to adapt to new environments and get involved," she says.
Reagan's civic endeavors include volunteering for Red Earth American Indian Cultural Festival, Oklahoma City Zoo, Paseo Arts Festival and Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's Momentum, among others.
