Christopher Kenney, 39, is vice president and chief compliance officer at American Fidelity Assurance Company. In this position, he has organized and developed a corporate compliance operation for one of the largest privately-held life and health insurers in the United States with operations in 49 states and Latin America.

 

Kenney also volunteers in many community and civic leadership positions.

 

"I am proudest of my fundraising ability, which has helped raise critical dollars for several important community projects and educational institutions," he says.

 

He is currently involved in the University of Oklahoma President's Associates, United Way of Metro Oklahoma City, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Prevent Blindness, Easter Seals, Christ The King Roman Catholic Parish, Oklahoma City Men's Dinner Club and the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

 

Among his professional memberships, Kenney is a member of Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Health Insurance High Risk Pool, Life Insurance and Market Research Association Independent Producers Advisory Council and Insurance Marketplace Standards Association, among others.

 

"As a board member of the Salvation Army, I have secured corporate donations and in-kind services to assist in social services," he said. "Moreover, I have been recognized as the top fundraiser for the Easter Seals of Oklahoma annual campaign and actively participate in fundraising endeavors for the United Way, Prevent Blindness, American Heart Association, The State Chamber and Casady School."

 

Kenney received his bachelor's degree in public affairs and administration in 1990 and his juris doctorate in 1993 from the University of Oklahoma.
