B&B Windsor movie theater plans opening



The B&B Windsor 10 movie theater at the Windsor Hills Shopping Center will open at midnight Nov. 19.

The B&B Windsor 10 movie theater at the Windsor Hills Shopping Center will open at midnight Nov. 19.

General Manager Kyle Batson said New Moon will be the theater's first screening. The 22,000-square foot complex was built in 1974 and has been empty for five years. While the movie theater will open Thursday night, the entire faade of the building will soon be redone, Batson said.

Renovations have been in the works including:

Two digital projectors Stadium seating to four of the auditoriums, new screens and new sound systems Completed concession area ADA compliant restroom in the lobby

The theater will open with eight auditoriums in service but will have two additional auditoriums added within the next 30 days.

Regular show times will begin Nov. 20.

The new theater's movie opening line-up includes:

2012 New Moon Planet 51 Paranormal Activity Men Who Stare at Goats A Christmas Carol in digital 3D The Blind Side

Pricing will be: Children ages 3 to 11, $5; students with valid ID and seniors and adult matinee tickets, $6; and adults in the evening, $7.

According to the Oklahoma County Assessor's site, the 224,491-square-foot Windsor Hills Shopping Center, 4623A NW 23 (intersection of NW 23rd and Meridian in Oklahoma City), was purchased by Windsor Hills Station Inc. in Sept. 2006 for $10.4 million.
