okc.BIZ and presenting sponsor, Comtech announced the 2015 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma winners, in order, at the awards reception and dinner Tuesday night. The annual awards event was held at Embassy Suites Oklahoma City/Downtown Medical Center in the Grand Ballroom. Over 300 attendees representing 32 companies celebrated as the awards took place.
Best Companies Group CEO Peter Burke and keynote speaker Mayor Mick Cornett spoke at the event, congratulating winners and honoring each for their contributions to the Oklahoma market and statewide community. The event was co-hosted by Tierra Media Group Publisher Bill Bleakley and Marketing and Advertising Director Christy Duane.
“The businesses honored as the 2015 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma are a testament to the outstanding culture in our state. This program proves that Oklahoma is not only a great place to live and raise families, but it also defines Oklahoma businesses as a top source in recruiting national talent. The companies honored tonight are an affirmation that the Oklahoma business sector is achieving significant advances in the local and global marketplace,” said Bleakley.

Large companies were defined by 250 or more employees whereas small companies had less than 250.Applicants were put through rigorous questionnaires and employee surveys with the collected data analyzed and ranked.
“There is a minimum standard that must be met to be a Best Places to Work in Oklahoma honoree. And though there were numerous applicants, not all that apply make the list. The feedback received from Best Places Companies can significantly improve employee/employer relations, positively impacting the bottom line,” said Duane.
Attendees received a plaque memorializing their honor as well as a commemorative magazine. Winners will be featured at length on okc.BIZ and in a special section in the September 23, 2015, issue of Oklahoma Gazette.
Best Places to Work in Oklahoma program partners include The State Chamber of Oklahoma, OKHR State Council, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, and the program was presented by Comtech.
