To encourage businesses to be aware and engaged in social media, Saxum Public Relations will host the Saxum Social Media Summit Aug. 26.

The event will take place at the Waterford Hotel from 7:30 - 11 a.m.

Saxum officials said businesses in attendance should expect to gain information about why their organization should use social media and the media tools and strategies to make using it worthwhile.

Saxum Public Relations President and CEO Renzi Stone and Connect Social Media founder and social media expert Jim Quillen will lead the summit.
