City and library officials recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for Southwest Library, 2201 SW 134. The $3.7 million library will be funded through the 2000 and 2007 GO Bond Issue and is being constructed by Miller-Tippens Construction. Crafton Tulls Sparks is charged with design of the project.
The new 19,000-square-foot facility is being constructed with sustainable materials from within a 500-mile radius.
