Oklahoma Blood Institute opened its new three-story, 47,493-square-foot donor center at 901 N Lincoln Blvd. The center is just one block south of OBI’s headquarters. The new facility also houses OBI’s administrative offices, a 2,500-square-foot conference center and approximately 16,000 square feet of rentable space. There is an expanded area available for patients who need therapeutic apheresis treatments.
The building represents a new era in OBI’s 32-year history. Although the organization has 12 donor centers across the state, this is only the second time it has constructed a building. Future renovations to the Sylvan N. Goldman Center located at NE 10 and Lincoln Boulevard will transform it from a donor center into expanded areas for the latest laboratory and blood processing technology, along with support services.
