OKCBusiness presented the top 30 companies with awards at the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma reception and dinner May 3 at the newly renovated Skirvin Hotel in Downtown Oklahoma City.
Selected companies were grouped in categories of medium companies (25 to 249 employees) and large companies (more than 250 employees)
Top honors went to US Cellular in the large category with Nextep in the medium category.
Edward Jones and Coppermark Bank were the runners-up in their respective categories. Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Hallmark Management, LLC finished third.
In order of ranking, other large category winners were The Hartford, Integris Health, Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Enterprise Rent A Car, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, First Fidelity Bank, Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Williams, Medical Consultants, Norman Regional Health System, and Tinker Federal Credit Union.
In order of ranking, other medium category recipients were Delta Dental of Oklahoma, CFR, Inc., Scott Rice, Selser Schaefer Architects, BVA Advanced Eye Care, Vox Printing Incorporated, Murrell, Hall, McIntosh & Co., PLLP, Eide Bailly LLP, North American Group, Capital One Auto Finance, Rees Associates, Inc. and Express Personnel Services.
“Best Places to Work in Oklahoma is the recognition program to acknowledge Oklahoma companies and organizations that excel in creating and fostering outstanding workplaces,” Bill Bleakley, publisher of OKCBusiness, said.
The selection process included the Best Companies Group engaging Modern Think, a workplace excellence consulting firm, to independently conduct an employee survey and assessment of each company that applied.
Criteria for eligibility requires a company to be a for-profit or non-profit business or governmental organization, have a local Oklahoma facility and have 25 employees within the Oklahoma workforce.
Best Companies Group, Oklahoma State Council of Human Resources Management, The State Chamber, Career Tech, Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce partnered with OKCBusiness to present the state-wide program.
