Local asphalt company receives national recognition

Haskell Lemon Construction Co., 3800 SW 10th St., was recently recognized with three national awards from the National Asphalt Pavement Association for quality asphalt paving projects in Oklahoma.

On each project, construction crews produced pavement that exceeded the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s requirements. The awards are a representation of the quality of work that is produced by Oklahoma’s construction workers as they fulfill ODOT’s 8-Year Construction Work Plan.

Haskell Lemon Construction Co. dates back to 1948, when Lemon’s grandparents started the business. Today, the company employs 225 Oklahomans and won recent NAPA awards for construction projects on State Highway 56 in Okemah, State Highway 9 in Norman and State Highway 4 in Mustang.
