VI Marketing and Branding recently won an award from Communication Arts (CA) magazine, a professional journal for designers, firms and corporate design departments involved in visual communications.
The OKC-based public relations firm won the Communication Arts 2015 Typography Annual Award of Excellence in the Motion Category for its entry called “White Space,” which was originally created by VI as the introduction video for the 2014 OKC Ad Club’s Annual American Advertising Awards.
“Being recognized by CA is on the bucket list of every creative,” said VI Partner/Executive Creative Director Steve Sturges in a press release. “We are very proud to be acknowledged by this prestigious annual. It just goes to show that the talent throughout Oklahoma City is world-class.”
The selected projects have been reproduced in the January 2015 issue of CA in print and on the iPad. More than 36,000 copies will be distributed worldwide.
The Communication Arts Typography Annual 5 Award is the second major national honor for Oklahoma City’s VI Marketing and Branding. The firm won the 2013 Jay Chiat Award for marketing strategy.
VI Marketing and Branding celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The company was formerly an advertising agency but has evolved into an integrated marketing communications firm with expertise in developing marketing programs, strategic planning, branding, public relations, social media and digital media in addition to the traditional creative and media services of advertising agencies.
