Restaurateurs Peter and Sheree Holloway — whose restaurants include the Boulevard Steakhouse and Martini Lounge in Edmond, and both locations of Cafe 501 — will open the Park House in a building on the gardens’ east side. The Ice House will stand just north of that space.
“After a thoughtful process, we found a proprietor in Peter Holloway who understands the complexities of operating in this space,” said James R. Tolbert III, the foundation’s chairman emeritus, “and whose experience, expertise and creativity will ensure that our restaurants will be terrific additions to downtown and will serve our many audiences.”
The Park House will open in October, offer lunch and dinner year-round, and include a full bar. Plans for the menu, interior design and build-out of the space are in the works. The project architect is Elliott+Associates and the general contractor is Stacy Witter & Associates Inc.
The Ice House, will open in September. It will offer Nic’s burgers, french fries and milkshakes. It will be patterned after Nic’s Grill, the popular eatery at 1201 N. Pennsylvania. It will be open eight months of the year, closing when the ice skating rink at the gardens opens each winter as part of Downtown in December.
